Nancy recently asked this question:
Is there a way we can put a calendar on the Bumpus Reunion website? I would like to be able to indicate when someone/anyone it going to be staying the night in the house. In general everyone would know what is going on and someone else might want to come visit at the same time.
The answer is ..maybe. I haven't found a free calendar that did what she wanted, but I'm working on it. I found a business scheduler I thought might work, but it didn't do what we need. It is designed for a business, and we totally confused it. Imagine that.
As a side note, we now have an email address! BumpusReunion@gmail.com is currently set up to forward all incoming mail to me. That can be changed to whoever is in charge of the coming year's reunion. Let me know whose email address to use and I'll get them set up.

2011 is in the books
I'm trying to count in my head. We had 2) 3 wheelers (ATV's), 8) 4 wheelers, and a Mule (not the 4 legged kind) and a golf cart this year. We had chicken, cheeseburgers, spaghetti (try cooking that out doors!) ... LOTS of food. We had a pie eating contest,
a car race, Minute To Win It, and of course the family auction.
We laughed, we cried, we talked, we had church together, we got rained on, wind blown, hot, very little cold this year.
Speaking of books, whoever has them, please get them to the folks in charge next year. I never received them this year.
Next year's date hasn't been announced but I am penciling in
August 3,4, and 5, 2012.
See y'all there

Quick update
I've not been able to post anything for a couple weeks due to some internet problems. If you are on the Facebook group you have probably been keeping up with what Becky and others are posting there. It is a closed group, so if you are not a member that link may not work. Email me or Becky and we'll get you on there.
Plans are progressing toward the first weekend in August. A quick note, the bridge on Illinois 37 just off I-64 is closed for construction. It is supposed to be open by the 26th of July. One of the crew told me it WOULD be open by then, because if it was late it was $5000 a day for not being completed on time. The best way around it is go back up 37 towards Mt Vernon, turn right at the stoplight where Huck's is and go east on 142 to the Log Cabin Road. Watch for the Smith Cemetery sign. Or you could get off I-57 at exit 94 and take Veteran's Memorial Drive. It becomes 142 at Huck's. Here's a map:

We are pricing them at exactly what they cost with sales tax. We might print up a few extras, but basically they are only available if you order in advance, or ordered and paid for at the reunion to be shipped after reunion.
Colors are white, natural (kind of cream) and gray EXCEPT for baby's onesies. Gray will probably be a light gray.
Delivery will be free at the reunion. If you want it sooner Honeville.com has shipping is available at $5.00 for the first shirt and $1.00 each additional shirt.
We would appreciate payment in advance, but not required unless we are shipping

40th reunion T-shirts
We're working on T-shirts with this on them. Anyone interested? If so we'd like to order them in time to bring to reunion. Cost should be $10 + sales tax. Shirt color is still up in the air, but we're leaning toward a creme or light gray. Other colors are available but we would need to change the color scheme. Let us know what you think.
If you want one let us know by the end of July so we can get them printed. There won't be very many extras printed. Danny Hone (www.honeville.com) is doing them for us so we don't need much lead time and can order exactly what we need. Contact Becky Morgan to order (email is abdamorgan@gmail.com)
