The actual address will probably not be in your GPS unit. The intersection at the northeast corner of the farm is
Saddleclub Road
and
Log Cabin Lane
Bonnie, IL
(or Opdyke or Belle Rive depending on your GPS unit)

From I-57 go east on I-64 at exit 92. Get off at exit 80 and take Illinois Highway 37 south 4 miles to County Road 600N also known as Saddle Club Road. Go east almost 5 miles and turn right in the drive at Grandpa Robert's

The 2008 Reunion Is Over

Well, it's over. The 2008 Bumpus Reunion is history. If you missed it, you missed some of the finest weather we have ever had. I'd share a few photos but my camera died after 5 pictures, and no amount of cajoling and fussing could resurrect it. I did get this photo. It is a fungus growing on one of the old oak trees on the far west end of the yard
It was huge and fascinating. My camera was so amazed it just quit after that.

Steve and Irene and Mike and Sally are taking over next year. I've invited Steve to this page as an author (I can't easily just turn it over to him, it's one of those legal things with licenses and such, but we'll see if we can figure an end run around the rules). I'm not sure if they are going for August 7, 8, and 9 or 14, 15, and 16, but they will let everyone know as soon as they can.

If you made it this year we were really glad to see you. If you missed it ... you really missed it. A big thanks to everyone who made it possible this year. If I start naming names I'll miss people, but a special thanks to Mac who got everything set up and my kids who did most of the work on my end. Oh, and Nancy for leading the singing during worship. Compared to my doing it Y'ALL should be thanking her. Now if you'll excuse me, I have 14 pairs of earrings to put away. (I SAID you really missed it...)
